Sore nipples are relatively common for mothers that are breastfeeding for the first time. Nipples soreness can be caused by many factors such as poor positioning, shallow latch, tongue or lip tie, or breast pump trauma. Painful breasts can be caused by engorgement, plugged ducts, mastitis, or yeast infections. I have extensive experience in all of these areas and more. Tongue tie and lip ties are  common reasons for nipple soreness. There is immediate relief available so that you can continue to breastfeed. Sometimes painful nipples are caused by yeast infections. Moms who have had C-sections or are GBS positive can be more susceptible because they have had antibiotics during or after the birth of their baby. That is also true if the mother had antibiotics during her pregnancy or is prone to yeast infections. The yeast protocol that I use is very effective, so if you are having painful, itchy or blanched nipples or deep burning pain in your breasts give me a call as soon as you can! When it comes to breastfeeding your newborn, I am very passionate about making sure that you and your baby bond throughout your breastfeeding experience. I will bring my expertise and inhome lactation consultant services to the comfort of your own home for your convenience. 

Not all newborns are the same and this may create obstacles in your breastfeeding experience. As your inhome lactation consultant, I will give you guided assistance on techniques to make the process less burdensome on both you and your baby. I will leave you with a Care Plan and other handouts as needed plus you can call me with questions and concerns at any time after the.initial consultation for free.
